UMA REVISÃO SOBRE O EFEITO DERMATO-FISIOLÓGICO DA TOXINA BOTULÍNICA TIPO “A” EM RUGAS DINÂMICAS

O uso de toxina botulínica como um procedimento estético é destaque no tratamento de linhas de expressão, um sinal visível do envelhecimento cutâneo. Diante disso, entender seu mecanismo de ação é de grande relevância clínica agindo pela inibição do neurotransmissor acetilcolina no nervo pré-sináptico. O presente artigo vem por meio da pesquisa literária em sítios de pesquisa como Pubmed, Scielo e Google Acadêmico com publicações dos últimos 6 anos (2019-2023) elucidar sobre atualizações da história, produção, síntese, marcas e administração desse componente que gera melhora na auto-estima dos pacientes, um dos pontos integrativos na saúde como ciência, sendo a partir dos resultados obtidos categorizado que sua segurança para uso encontra-se no manejo clínico de tal substância, orientações pós procedimento e conhecimento anatômico.
