A importância da informação parental sobre a triagem neonatal: uma revisão sistemática

A Triagem Neonatal (TN) consolidou-se mundialmente como medida essencial de saúde pública para a detecção precoce de doenças genéticas, metabólicas, endócrinas e nutricionais. Apesar da ampla cobertura dos programas, a não realização da TN ainda ocorre devido a barreiras logísticas, parto domiciliar e, principalmente, à falta de informação adequada aos pais. O objetivo do trabalho foi realizar uma revisão sistemática sobre o conhecimento parental, identificar fatores que influenciam a adesão das famílias. Métodos: Revisão sistemática conforme as diretrizes PRISMA, com busca nas bases PubMed, LILACS, BVS e SciELO, entre 2020 e 2025, utilizando descritores indexados no DeCS/MeSH. A falta de informação parental, a baixa escolaridade, a renda limitada e a residência em áreas rurais foram os principais fatores que comprometeram a adesão. Observou-se falha na comunicação entre profissionais e famílias e desigualdades estruturais nos serviços de saúde.
